Important Information for the 2025 Derby!

Wawa Lake No-Fishing Zone
On Wawa Lake, due to the location of the Municipal Water Intake, the Municipality of Wawa has imposed a no-fishing zone between the points at which Gold Street and Ontario Street terminate at Wawa Lake. A distance of 1,000 feet from shore IS A PROHIBITED AREA

New this year!
See Rule 13, Species are restricted to Pike, Whitefish and Lake Trout
Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in three categories. Pike (4 prizes), Lake Trout (4 Prizes) and Whitefish (2 Prizes).
See Rule 14, Pike and Lake Trout MUST be a minimum length of 22".

Meal Tickets are no longer being given.

Fishing will be allowed on all three lakes (Wawa Lake, Hawk Lake and Manitowik Lake).

Rule 3 - A valid fishing licence is required to have a fish weighed in the Wawa Ice Fishing Derby, for all individuals requiring a fishing licence under provincial regulations.
